Tech Lead

As a Tech Lead at Hypersolid, you operate at the core of delivery, where product ambition, technical quality, and collaboration come together. You take responsibility for the technical direction of complex digital products, with a strong focus on mobile-driven ecosystems and scalable backend architectures.

What will you do?

Working closely with the team, you turn business goals into pragmatic technical solutions from early discovery through delivery and optimization. A key part of the role is designing and evolving backend platforms for modern mobile applications, including:

• API strategy

• Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns and

• Event-driven, serverless architectures on AWS or Azure.

Throughout delivery, you safeguard architectural consistency, security, and performance, and you ensure issues can be traced end-to-end through strong observability across mobile and backend systems. You coach teams to manage technical debt deliberately so it supports delivery speed without compromising stability.

In your first months, you build strong relationships and translate product ambition into a clear technical roadmap for your primary project. Over your first year, you strengthen technical leadership by mentoring a senior engineer toward a lead role and improving backend-to-frontend integration speed through BFF optimization.

Typical solutions involve components such as:

• Web applications built with modern frameworks such as React and Svelte.

• Mobile applications are built either with native technology or React Native.

• Backend services built with Node.js (preferably TypeScript) or .NET.

• RESTful APIs and Backend-for-Frontend layers aggregating underlying services.

• Event-driven and serverless architectures on AWS or Azure.

• Infrastructure as Code to support repeatable and reliable platform setups.

• Monitoring, logging, and alerting across the full stack.

Who are we looking for?

You’re a hands-on technical leader who enjoys guiding teams through complex challenges. You help engineers grow by sharing context, reviewing designs and code, and bringing people together around well-reasoned technical decisions.

You think analytically and start with the why: user needs, platform constraints, and business goals. You explain technical designs clearly to both engineers and stakeholders, and you work with a strong sense of ownership, collaborating pragmatically and always looking for ways to improve how we deliver.

What do you bring with you?

• Tech Lead or senior engineering experience in complex delivery environments

• Strong backend architecture skills, including API and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) design

• Cloud-native experience, including serverless and event-driven architectures on AWS or Azure

• Infrastructure as Code, plus a production mindset around reliability and observability

• Ability to translate business needs into clear end-to-end technical designs

• Scrum Master experience is a plus

• Full professional proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus
