You’re the person who turns complex client challenges into concrete, buildable technical solutions. Not by selling a dream on a slide, but by getting into the weeds, mapping out system landscapes, choosing the right technologies, and designing architectures that actually hold up when development teams start building.
About the role
As a Senior Solution Architect at Hypersolid, you’re the technical backbone of our most ambitious projects. You work closely with developers, tech leads, and project managers to shape the right solution from day one and stay involved as it gets built. You design high-level architectures, make technology choices that fit both the client’s needs and our delivery capabilities, and ensure quality and consistency across implementations.
This isn’t a pre-sales role with a technical twist. You’re an architect first: someone who can whiteboard a system landscape in a client workshop in the morning and review pull requests with a development team in the afternoon. You understand the technologies we work with from real experience building with them.
You will play a key role in designing high-level architectures and explaining technical options to business stakeholders in a clear and accessible way.
What you’ll do
Design and own solution architectures for complex, multi-system projects, from content platforms and custom web applications to data-driven products and API-first ecosystems.
Translate business requirements into system designs, data models, integration patterns, and infrastructure blueprints during project discovery and scoping.
Make hands-on technology decisions based on project needs. We most often work with Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Svelte on the application side, and AWS or Azure for cloud infrastructure.
Guide and support development teams during implementation, reviewing architectural decisions and helping unblock technical challenges.
Create clear architecture documentation such as system diagrams, decision records, and integration specifications.
Evaluate build versus buy decisions and assess third-party platforms such as CMS, commerce, PIM, and DAM.
Work with DevOps and cloud engineers on infrastructure design, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a solution architect who combines strong technical depth with a pragmatic approach to building systems. You are comfortable designing architectures, making technology decisions, and working closely with development teams to turn those designs into working solutions.
Ideally, you bring the following:
7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a solution or software architecture role.
Hands-on experience with modern web technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, React, or Svelte.
Experience designing cloud-native architectures on AWS or Azure and working with managed services.
Strong understanding of architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven systems, API design, and headless or composable architectures.
Experience integrating enterprise SaaS platforms such as CMS or commerce systems.
The ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience with data and AI solutions, machine learning pipelines, or real-time data processing.
Familiarity with containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes and experience with platform engineering.
Experience across both AWS and Azure, or additional knowledge of GCP.
Background in performance engineering, observability, or security architecture.
Exposure to frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate with a pragmatic approach.
