Interim Operations Manager Cloud Solutions (Maternity Leave)

We are looking for an Interim Operations Manager to temporarily take over the operational part of our Technical Operations department during a maternity leave period.  

Startdate: beginning of September 
Duration: 5 months (September till February) 
4 days a week in the office, Alkmaar

What are you going to do? 

As (Interim) Operations Manager of Cloud Solutions, you are responsible for the smooth operation of our Technical Operations department. This department consists of three delivery teams. Each team has its own specialism. All three teams have a service coordinator who is responsible for day-to-day coordination. The service coordinators report to you. In total, the department consists of approximately 35 engineers. 

In this role, you are responsible for developing and executing the operational and administrative part of the department. Of course, you don't do that alone. You report and work on the plan with the Product Owner for Cloud Solutions.  

Some tasks involved: 

• Taking care of the financial overview; 

• Prepare, monitor and improve the planning; 

• Developing (work) processes; 

• Making sure all the processes are been followed;

• Make the operation a little better every day as a whole;

• Trafficing of new incoming projects.

Who are we looking for? 

As a person, we expect you to be able to manage, coach and develop the service coordinator team. You are responsible for the continuous improvement of our processes. Of course, you do that step by step. You ensure that the team can keep up with the development, and you also know how to bend resistance. You are the person who oversees the financial flows within the department, from registration of hours to invoicing. With the Product Owner, you are also responsible for coordinating the budget (FTE and turnover), and you monitor the achievement of this; if necessary, adjust this. 

It is essential that you have a high degree of cultural sensitivity. Our customers are international, and we also have global (growth) ambitions. That is why it is essential that you can interact well with different cultures. As a person, you get energy from managing a team, facilitating growth and solving possible bottlenecks. 

Requirements  

• We are looking for someone who: 

• Has Bachelors's or Masters's degree work- and thinking level; 

• Is experienced with the agile/scrum method; 

• Is experienced in project management; 

• Has experience with planning processes; 

• Has a high degree of cultural sensitivity; 

• Has a can-do and hands-on mindset; 

• Is a self-starter, high energy; 

• Is a fixer and not afraid to start a conversation on different levels; 

• Is proficient in both Dutch and English.
