Lead UX Designer

Lead UX Designer 

We’re looking for a Lead UX Designer for our Amsterdam office within our Experience Design teams working.

Lead UX Designers will lead small to medium-scale projects and work closely with a UX Director on larger, more complex projects. They will be responsible for their own work, while providing oversight and guidance to other members of their multidisciplinary team (e.g. visual designers, copywriters, publishers etc.). They help to define the strategy, objectives and KPIs of each project and will use their core UCD and UX skills to create compelling and validated solutions utilizing an existing design system, and designing new components for new use cases. They will be an integral member of the team, driving the vision, design and delivery of great work.

What we need 

• 5 years experience required 

• Ability to guide and mentor UX designers of all level  

• Strong attention to detail 

• Experience working together with creative, strategy, design and development teams 

• Ability to proactively provide solutions to problems 

• Positive, can-do attitude 

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing 

• Experience in user research (qual and quant). 

• In-depth knowledge of Figma. 

• Working knowledge of current HTML and CSS practices to understand what’s feasible and what’s not. 

• Excellent command of English, both spoken and in writing 

What you’ll do 

• Push creative concepts into a new level in your functional UX designs 

• Work closely with Strategists, Visual Designers, UX-ers and Developers while advocating the best creative concepts for the end user 

• Collaborate with user research and data teams to understand user behavior, synthesizing insights to guide your design solutions 

• Communicate with stakeholders to understand their business challenges and needs and create alignment with your design solution 

• Collaborate with copywriters to create compelling narratives to key brand and domains 

• Create crystal-clear briefs for our designers and publishers and produce clear documentation of features and functionalities to instruct our developers 

• Work with our large component and section library within figma, and advocate for components that need enhancement or if new components need to be designed. 

• Formulating a clear UX strategy backed up by solid rationale for the main choices made 

• Review work of UX designers, UI designers and developers 

• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary scrum team, collaborating in agile ceremonies to co-create and manage the status of tasks and user stories. 

• Carry out desk research, competitor benchmarking, qualitative interviews and suggest quantitative A/B tests or experiments to validate or test assumptions at scale. 

• Clearly present and articulate your design concepts in English.
