Job description
Our offices in Alkmaar (formerly Triple) and Amsterdam (formerly code d'azur) are home to multidisciplinary teams building digital products for clients across the Netherlands and beyond. As a design intern at Hypersolid, you will work alongside experienced designers and developers to help shape digital products used by thousands of people.
What are you going to do?
You will become part of one of our project teams and gain hands-on experience designing digital products and services. Together with your mentor, you will define clear learning goals and shape an internship that matches your education and interests.
We offer both graduation internships and working internships (starting in September 2026). For graduation internships, you research a design challenge, translate insights into concepts and interface designs, prototype and validate ideas, and present your solution as part of your graduation project. For working internships, you contribute directly to ongoing design projects within one of our teams.
What options do we offer?
UX Design — user research, journeys, interaction flows, wireframes, prototypes
UI / Visual Design — layouts, visual design, components, design systems
Product Design — full process from research and concepting to interface design and validation
How we think about AI
AI is changing the way we design and build products, and at Hypersolid we embrace that. We expect our interns to actively explore how AI tools can support their design process, whether that is generating ideas faster, improving research workflows, or pushing the quality of what they deliver.
Who are we looking for? You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or HBO degree in Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, and are looking for a graduation or working internship. You think from the user's perspective, take initiative, and care about creating designs that are both useful and meaningful. You collaborate well with designers, developers, and product teams, and are fluent in English. A portfolio showing your design work is required.
Bonus if you have experience with:
UX research methods or design systems
Working with developers or product teams
AI tools used in a design context
