Job description
Hypersolid is expanding across multiple locations and countries. Our People function operates across Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Austin (US), and Poland, supported by a centralized Shared Service Center. As we evolve, we are increasingly focused on building a forward-looking People department that embraces technology, automation, and agentic workflows.
As Head of People, you are responsible for building and scaling a high-performance culture that attracts, develops, and retains top-tier talent. Our competitive advantage is driven by our people, and this role ensures we have the future-proof leadership, capabilities, and environment needed to continue delivering client impact and growth.
What you will do
The focus is on people and organizational topics that influence how Hypersolid grows. This includes shaping our culture, developing leadership, growing talent, and workforce planning across the group. You ensure these topics are approached in a consistent way without losing sight of what works locally. The goal is not to standardize everything, but to create a clear way of working that people understand and can apply in practice.
At the same time, you lead the HR Business Partner in Amsterdam and the HR advisor in Alkmaar, as well as the Shared Service Center. You work closely with both, strengthening how we support the business today while shaping how the team evolves as we grow. You also play a key role in shaping how technology supports and scales how we operate as a People team. You drive the adoption of AI-driven agents and automation in how we design and run our people processes, helping to build a more scalable and future-ready organization.
In practice, this means you:
translate the people strategy into clear priorities and initiatives across the group
align leadership on performance, talent, and organizational development
drive decision-making on key organizational topics, from structure to capability building
build and develop strong HR business partnering that effectively supports the business
ensure the Shared Service Center delivers reliable and scalable support
challenge and support leadership on organizational design, team effectiveness, and growth
define future capabilities and roles needed to support business growth, including in areas shaped by AI
implement and scale the use of AI-driven agents and automation in how we run people operations
establish clear ways of working that teams can apply consistently across locations
What you bring
You are an experienced people leader who is comfortable operating at a senior level and used to working across teams, locations, and countries. You combine strategic thinking with the ability to make things practical and clear. Bringing people together comes naturally. You connect teams and perspectives, build trust, and help others move forward.
This results in an environment where ownership is taken, people support each other, and strong performance is expected. Curious by nature, you keep an eye on how technology and innovation change organizations and the skills they need. You ask the right questions, challenge ideas when needed, and help improve how things are done.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in HR or People roles, including leadership responsibility
experience in a multi-location or international environment
strong understanding of organizational development and people topics
able to set direction and translate it into a practical way of working
comfortable working with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
fluent in Dutch and English
experience in a technology and brand experience environment is a plus
