Freelance Senior UX Designer (Dutch)

You’re a UX designer who thrives on collaboration and knows how to engage with stakeholders to create user-centered solutions. Your designs are thoughtful, strategic, and elevate the user experience in ways that deliver real impact.

You’re available to join our team starting asap. This freelance role is for 32–40 hours per week for at least 2 months.

What you’ll do 

• Own the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and final execution. Define project strategies, objectives, and KPIs, aligning business goals with user needs. 

• Work closely with developers, strategists, creatives, and other designers to create cohesive and high-quality digital experiences. 

• Balance user and business needs through insight gathering and user testing. Define the challenge, validate the underlining problem and suggest a viable solution before diving into design. 

• Produce designs that are not only functional but also visually delightful. Continuously refine and improve your designs based on feedback and testing. 

• Build trust and alignment through clear communication and facilitating workshops. Use compelling narratives and data to present your designs to stakeholders, clearly articulating how your work addresses user needs and business objectives. 

What we need 

• 5+ years of UX or Product Design, working as part of a product team. A strong portfolio that demonstrates a thoughtful design process and successful outcomes across various digital platforms (web, mobile, etc.). Preferably in agency, consultancy or corporate environments. 

• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other industry-standard design tools.  

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for your ideas and engage stakeholders at all levels. 

• A team player who is eager to work with cross-disciplinary teams and contribute to a positive, creative work environment. 

• A flexible and agile mindset, capable of working in both structured and ambiguous environments, and able to adapt to new challenges quickly. 

• A keen interest in emerging technologies, design trends, and a constant drive to innovate and improve. 

• Fluent in Dutch (both written and spoken) – this is a requirement for the role.
