Freelance Senior Product Designer

We are looking for a skilled and passionate freelance Senior Product Designer to join our team for a 5-week discovery phase starting October 6th, based in London (until the end of the year). While the role is London-based, we also welcome designers from Amsterdam who are willing to travel to London at least one week during the engagement.

This role is for a versatile designer who can take ownership of the discovery process, from research and insights to defining experience blueprints and key flows, working closely with our Experience Director. You will play a crucial role in shaping the foundation of a seamless customer journey that inspires confidence in both design and execution.

What we need

• Experience Researcher: Strong background in discovery work, conducting user and stakeholder research and translating insights into actionable design directions.

• Blueprint Thinker: Ability to define and map end-to-end experiences and key user flows that are future-proof, usable and strategically aligned.

• Excellent Communicator & Collaborator: Clear in articulating design decisions and comfortable working alongside an Experience Director, stakeholders and other disciplines.

• Adaptable & Innovative: Brings curiosity, a forward-looking mindset, and a drive to explore new methods and approaches to elevate user experiences.

• Design Systems Familiarity: Understanding of design systems and tools like Figma and Tokens Studio to ensure scalability and consistency across flows.

What you’ll do

• Lead the discovery phase, conducting research, workshops and synthesis sessions to uncover user needs and business goals.

• Collaborate closely with the Experience Director to define blueprints and key flows that guide the product vision.

• Produce deliverables such as user journeys, service blueprints, wireframes and experience maps.

• Ensure design proposals are usable, on-trend and future-proof, balancing aesthetics with functionality.

• Present findings and flows to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way.
