Freelance 3D Asset Artist

Freelance 3D Asset Artist (WebGL/Blender)

We’re looking for a technical 3D artist who can create efficient, beautiful assets for real-time web use. You should be comfortable working independently with the development and design teams.

Required skills

• Low-Poly Modeling: Optimized meshes suitable for WebGL performance

• Texture Optimization: Knowledge of PBR workflows, compression (WebP, JPEG, PNG)

• glTF/GLB Exporting: Experience exporting and optimizing for the web

• Shader Awareness: Understanding of how assets render in engines like Three.js

• Performance Focus: Consideration of polygon counts, draw calls, mobile rendering, and file size constraints

Timeline

• Start Date: ASAP

• Duration: Minimum 2–3 weeks, with flexibility in week 4/5 for final adjustments

• Extension: Possible, depending on project needs

• Weekly Hours: 32–40 hours (flexible, based on dev team input)

• Based in Amsterdam, but remote-friendly

Tooling

• Required: Blender

• Bonus: Familiarity with Three.js, WebGL workflows
